Mayweather vs Pacquiao?

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Yahoo Sports headlines Manny Pacquiao under the banner "Six-minute Storm". As a sub story, Floyd Mayweather indicated in an interview that he's still the pound-for-pound king. Read Here. Will there be a Pacquiao - Mayweather dream fight in the future? It's highly possible. Mayweather will have a lot to prove against the Filipino champion. It took him 22 rounds to finish Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. Pacquiao took out those 2 opponents via knockouts in just 11 rounds.

How can a son of a blabbermouth and a retiree be the pound for pound king? Mayweather Jr is a "has been" and his time has passed. He just want to share the fame of Pacquiao that is why he comes back. Mayweather Jr won't even be a match to Juan Manuel Marquez.

I don't think Mayweather will have the balls to fight Pacquiao - even if they pay him $100M. He will just kiss the canvass in less than 6 rounds.

Mayweather must be joking. Pacquiao proved beyond doubt that he was the best around and will prove that if ever they meet. Hatton was beaten by both but the Pac Man's victory was the more comprehensive.

Sportsbettingcentre, yep, it would be interesting to see how Pacquaio will deal with Mayweather. He has improved too much and would soil the American's unblemished record.
